These are award winning. No lie. I was sent home with a small batch of them and I am hoarding them lol. MINE! All mine lol . The rest of my non-keto family better stay away!
The texture of this pound cake is very dense and rich. I don’t doubt that you’d be able to easily fool someone who is not following a keto diet plan. It tastes just like a flour based pound cake. It’s sweet enough without being overly sweet. If you want to add some more sweetness to the loaf, I’d suggest a very small amount of stevia instead of adding more erythritol.
Dear Darlene Hi,There are many keto bread recipes online,this one caught my attention owing to its promise of not smelling eggy. That claim holds true to a large extent. I used baking powder instead of xanthum gum but even then the texture was good .Overall a great recipe which I hope and continue to improve. However I am confused about the net carbs in the nutrition box. As per my understanding net carbs are total carbs – sugar – dietary fiber which in this case will not be logical. Can you pls advise the net carb per slice as per the recipe. Thanks a lot.

I wish I could prepare this recipe for my beloved mum next Sunday (I can imagine she won’t even notice that it’s a low carb recipe! She’s always so skeptical to these kind of recipes), and share a cinnamon roll with her, but unfortunately I struggle with dairy. I’d think to substitute butter with ghee (the only dairy product I consume without problems), cream cheese with coconut cream (adapting the amount, should be enough reducing 1/3), but what about mozzarella? This is without a doubt the best keto bread I have tried to date. The taste and texture are spot on! I did add half a tsp of cinnamon and about 5 drops of stevia because I’m making this to replace homemade whole wheat cinnamon raisin bread. Reader beware this bread is dangerously good! I definitely need a smaller loaf pan to get a more square sandwich bread shape, the 9×5 made a flat thin loaf.
For salmon, I found that quality is directly linked to the price 🙁 I mean, sometimes Tesco and Giant would sell them at good prices but they seem to be, I dunno, off in a way. Rather than not eating salmon, I’ve decided to buy cheaper cuts and cook that instead. I’d buy the head and make salmon fish head curry. If you like fish curry, try this – so good!

I am still exploring and testing with those keto-friendly ingredients and for recipe, I often watch video of “headbanger’s kitchen” and “keto connect” for ideas! I tried the “keto bread” by “keto connect”, they turned out great and goes very well with the jam! I made my own peanut butter too (without any sugar), carbs are pretty low compare to store bought. For seeds and nuts I recommend you guys to pay a visit to “the hive bulk” located at jalan telawi, bangsar, they sell variety of nuts and seeds with reasonable price, and also organice condiments. Signature Market is a good online store to shop too (they are giving 3 months free membership + high discount). For avocado, I find that Jaya Grocer sells at pretty good deal (3 in 1 pack for rm12.90, the one at Intermark). I am just wondering where can I get cheaper salmon, the one I bought at morning market sri rampai costed me rm19 for just one slice! Btw, I am going to try making cauliflower chicken rice and flaxseed crackers too 🙂

Hi Suraya…..stumble on yr site while surfing for healthy oils as i make my own oils namely coconut, peanut, sunflower and flaxseed….own consumption and selling to close relatives and friends. Since my husband’s episode of ” heart attack” few years ago, i’ve started realizing that our staple diet among malaysians are full of sugars, fast food and carbs. The more i research the more I’ve come to realize that the main ingredients are so full of preservatives, colorings and additives….This keto diet that i’ve come across so frequently nowdays has made me thinking of trying it but with the mentality especially for asians….rice and flour is a must have on our dinner tables including my husband….i can only wonder.
