For Jessica – You can use any of the sweeteners appropriate for keto recipes. (Xylitol has a higher glycemic index.) I do not understand why recipes always call for a specific low carb sweetener – unless it is because whoever posted the recipe gets a commission if you buy the product they recommend. As a matter of fact I have a conversion chart for Natural Low Carb Sweeteners that came from Wholesome Yum!
Sabrina Amran, a precarious girl in her 20s who loves anything that screams ‘food!’ . She is convinced that food-romance is real and the only form of true love on planet earth. From day one, she knows she’ll find true love if she follows her passion, which is none other than eating! From Curry to Coffee to Cinnamon Rolls, she consumes almost everything edible but not everything la (obviously!). This is Sabrina, a girl in her 20s, she is most definitely ready to explore the world of cuisine and more with her audacity.
Hi, I am on keto + omad fasting recently, thanks for sharing all these info ( i love the sugar free jam you recommended!). I am still exploring and testing with those keto-friendly ingredients and for recipe, I often watch video of “headbanger’s kitchen” and “keto connect” for ideas! I tried the “keto bread” by “keto connect”, they turned out great and goes very well with the jam! I made my own peanut butter too (without any sugar), carbs are pretty low compare to store bought. For seeds and nuts I recommend you guys to pay a visit to “the hive bulk” located at jalan telawi, bangsar, they sell variety of nuts and seeds with reasonable price, and also organice condiments. Signature Market is a good online store to shop too (they are giving 3 months free membership + high discount). For avocado, I find that Jaya Grocer sells at pretty good deal (3 in 1 pack for rm12.90, the one at Intermark). I am just wondering where can I get cheaper salmon, the one I bought at morning market sri rampai costed me rm19 for just one slice! Btw, I am going to try making cauliflower chicken rice and flaxseed crackers too 🙂
Mine didn’t rise properly at all 🙁 I followed all your tips about room temp eggs, fresh baking powder, not over mixing to keep the air in but it is so flat. I added milled flax seeds as I like their texture in ‘bread’-y recipes; could they of caused the lack of rising? However, it LOOKS like bread with an actual crust and is VERY tasty with sesame and poppy seeds on top.. they’re just tiny slices
Sambutan sangat menggalakkan, setiap kali batch baru masuk setiap kali itulah sekejap je kena restock lagi NYOC nih. Bagus sangat! Can I go to the gym while fasting

This recipe is perfect. I did half a batch and made six rolls. I used the correct amount of almond flour simply because I didn’t have the nuts in my pantry. These rolls are perfect and moist. I also added some pieces of chopped apple as a treat because it’s apple season and my goal was low carb not Keto. I’m so happy I found this recipe. With winter coming this will be a great treat.

4.) Fill the dough into a loaf tin lined with baking paper. If you don’t use a silicone loaf pan line ALL SIDES with parchment paper so the bread will release easily. Smooth the top, but don’t press down too much – keep as much air in the dough as possible. Bake at 180 Celsius / 350 Fahrenheit for about 45 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean!

Why is bone broth so healthy

What should you eat on intermittent fasting

Reading all of these and I may be able to help with some of the issues people have. As far as doubling the recipe, works great for me, just have to increase the temp to 425 to start, first 10 minutes, then drop to 325 for the remainder. Higher start temp gives it the jump you need, lower temp after gives it the ability to bake without burning. Milled flax seeds add a slight bit of unnecessary oils, not much, but oils work best with normal flour. Try whole flax seed on top instead. I have been making this bread alot lately with no issues, I hope no one gets shys away from this recipe because of poor results, just keep trying. You will be glad you did.
This recipe sounds (and looks) delicious. I’ve always adored good cinnamon rolls like my grandmother and mother used to bake. Sadly, those aren’t possible anymore. I’m hopeful that this recipe will come fairly close. I know confectioners Lakanto isn’t on your sugar replacement list but my question is, will using it change the outcome of the rolls? I have a large bag of the confectioners and none of the granular.
I am not Malaysian but I’ve been living here for a while and have grown a fondness for Malay cuisine. Actually that is how I ended up here, was looking for Malay keto recipe. I just started keto last week- but I am terribly worried about the expenses. Everything is so freaking expensive! Just bought RM 120+ of ‘fat stuff’ (not counting the meat, veg etc.) and I am not sure if it will last me even 2 weeks :(. How did your expenses vary from before when you started keto?
I have not tried this yet. It could work, if you baked it for longer. The only thing I’m worried is that it might not rise as much because of the extra weight. I might be wrong, but I don’t want you to be upset about waisting expensive ingredients. There’s someone who commented about doubling the recipe on october 25th 2018 – but it sounds that she might have used 2 pans instead … here’s the comment: “I just made this. I doubled the recipe and used long narrow Wilton pans. I used carton egg whites. I baked it for 45 minutes, turned the oven off and left it closed for 30 minutes. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!! I now have 21 slices of bread in the fridge to experiment with. (That means I already ate 3)”
But since I’m on a Keto way of eating, I had to find an alternative. The filling is perfectly fine and I did not have to use any substitutes. The dough however, was my problem. Few days ago, I found a Keto empanada recipe and it took me back to my trip to Spain last summer and I had 2 empanadas and that reminded me of karipap. So after some research, I decided to use a Keto empanada dough recipe but fill it with dry mince meat curry to make Malaysian karipap. I was a little hesitant because using a cheese dough recipe for karipap as it seemed like an abomination to karipap, but after I had my first bite I can safely say, IT’S DAMN DELICIOUS! You can’t even tell that it was made from cheese!
