Dear Darlene Hi,There are many keto bread recipes online,this one caught my attention owing to its promise of not smelling eggy. That claim holds true to a large extent. I used baking powder instead of xanthum gum but even then the texture was good .Overall a great recipe which I hope and continue to improve. However I am confused about the net carbs in the nutrition box. As per my understanding net carbs are total carbs – sugar – dietary fiber which in this case will not be logical. Can you pls advise the net carb per slice as per the recipe. Thanks a lot.

I am still exploring and testing with those keto-friendly ingredients and for recipe, I often watch video of “headbanger’s kitchen” and “keto connect” for ideas! I tried the “keto bread” by “keto connect”, they turned out great and goes very well with the jam! I made my own peanut butter too (without any sugar), carbs are pretty low compare to store bought. For seeds and nuts I recommend you guys to pay a visit to “the hive bulk” located at jalan telawi, bangsar, they sell variety of nuts and seeds with reasonable price, and also organice condiments. Signature Market is a good online store to shop too (they are giving 3 months free membership + high discount). For avocado, I find that Jaya Grocer sells at pretty good deal (3 in 1 pack for rm12.90, the one at Intermark). I am just wondering where can I get cheaper salmon, the one I bought at morning market sri rampai costed me rm19 for just one slice! Btw, I am going to try making cauliflower chicken rice and flaxseed crackers too 🙂

As far as doubling the recipe, works great for me, just have to increase the temp to 425 to start, first 10 minutes, then drop to 325 for the remainder. Higher start temp gives it the jump you need, lower temp after gives it the ability to bake without burning. Milled flax seeds add a slight bit of unnecessary oils, not much, but oils work best with normal flour. Try whole flax seed on top instead. I have been making this bread alot lately with no issues, I hope no one gets shys away from this recipe because of poor results, just keep trying. You will be glad you did.

Hi Maya! So I have my very picky 8 year old granddaughter over and she wanted breakfast. Of course I’m doing keto, so no cereal or sweets in my house. There was no better time than today for me to try making these cinnamon rolls and little Miss picky not only enjoyed helping to make them, but ate one and loved it! As did my hubby and of course… Me. There only thing I did different was I put the dough in the freezer vs. fridge to speed up the coolng time (she was starving). They were amazing girl! The reason for specific sweeteners in recipes is mainly because I can only 100% vouch for the way I tested the recipe, with my specific ingredients. Sweeteners also provide bulk, so sometimes changing to a different one does change the result as well. In the case of these cinnamon rolls, though, there isn’t a lot of sweetener in the dough, so they do work fine with almost any sweetener you like.

The beauty of this recipe is that it is easily adaptable and you can change the flavors to suit your own tastes.
